As of April 1, 2008 the CSFSP will provide incentives for secondary containment only of potentially hazardous products such as fertilizer, fuel, and pesticides. This will include:
- Impermeable mats or concrete bases or containment systems under or around fertilizer bins to facilitate containment and clean up of liquid or granular spills as per program technical standards. Costs of purchasing new fertilizer bin(s) is no longer eligible.
- Containment systems around single walled fuel storage tanks as per program technical standards (double walled tanks will continue to be eligible as the second wall is considered secondary containment). The cost of a single walled fuel storage tank(s) is no longer eligible.
- Containment systems associated with pesticide storage facilities as per program standards.

- T he CSFSP supports the use of global positioning guidance systems that results in the reduction of inputs (fertilizer or pesticide) applied to ag land by eliminating or minimizing overlap during agricultural operations. As of April 1, 2008, the CSFSP will no longer provide funding for GPS associated with harvest equipment (including swathers).

Please Note: Multi-Year projects will not be approved in the transition year.
Project approvals will be for the 2008 fiscal year only beginning on April 1, 2008.
All approved work activities must be completed within the 2008 construction season.
